The Società di Studi Romagnoli organizes, in collaboration with the University of Parma, the Municipality of Galeata and the Municipality of Santa Sofia, the LXXI Congress of Studies on Romagna (IT), which will take place online on 17-18-24 and 25 October 2020.
The conference will start with the greetings of Alessia Morigi, Società di Studi Romagnoli – President, Elisa Deo, Mayor of Galeata, Daniele Valbonesi, Mayor of Santa Sofia, Paolo Andrei, Rector of the University of Parma, Fabrizio Storti, Pro Rector for Third Mission, Roberto Fornari, Pro Rector for Research and Diego Saglia, Director of the Department of Humanities, Social Sciences and Cultural Enterprises of the University of Parma.
The works will be introduced by Elena Calandra, Director of the Central Institute for Archeology-MiBACT General Management and Giuliano Volpe, President of the Federation of University Councils of Archeology, President Emeritus of the Higher Council ‘Cultural and landscape heritage’ of MiBACT, Councilor of the BACT Minister for Education and Research.
The conference will focus on the area and the Apennine district in which the team of the archaeological mission of the University of Parma operates at the Villa di Teoderico in Galeata. About 50 speakers from the University and other universities will participate, CNR, General Direction MiBACT, Superintendence of Archeology, Fine Arts and Landscape for the provinces of Ravenna, Forlì-Cesena and Rimini, MiBACT Regional Secretariat for Emilia-Romagna, General Museums Emilia-Romagna, Diocese of Forlì-Bertinoro, State Archives of Forlì-Cesena, Municipal Historical Archives of Sansepolcro.
The archaeological mission will be presented by Alessia Morigi, Scientific Director and Responsible, together with Riccardo Villicich, Scientific Responsible.
At the end of the proceedings, the announcement of the winner of the “Luigi Lotti” Award (2nd edition) is expected.
